Did a quick test with a self portrait to see if I could imitate the illustrative effect from movies like Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly. I watched the mini documentary on the making of Scanner, and the producers simply hired illustrators with experience in stylus tablet drawing, and the artists drew on top of film cells to create the effect. here's a sample image from A Scanner Darkly if you aren't familiar with the style.
