Fictional Portraits: The Blind Sheriff

The Blind Sheriff, Reginald Jebadiah Mason, was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1838. He was killed on duty in a shootout in the Arizona Territory in 1906. His tombstone reads: "Through dust and grit and law and gun, These eyes still see the setting the Sun."

He's got an epic story for sure, but I'll let you fill in the blanks.
