Test Project: Moleskine Covers

My new friend Sarah Frary had some Moleskine books with hand-painted covers available at the convention. I loved the idea, and so decided to see if I could get into the same bizzz..... The books are only 3.5" x 5.5" so it's a really small space to work in. Good excercise for my microns... Here's my first attempt:
