Sons of Metal series: Logan Marconi, part 1

Started sketching yesterday for some fun and epically metal posters to hang in the Coil 12 tattoo studio. I'm calling it the Sons of Metal series. Here's the sketch I've worked up for Logan. He's standing on a snowy mountain cliff formed out of a frozen dragon's head, calling to the sky, some kind of ridiculous falsetto battle cry. Today is the initial sketch phase before I start color. I think I'm going to go epic with paint in Corel Painter for these, give them a nice polished feel, in the style of Frank Frazetta, and Ken Kelly. Back with more color progress, and a design for myself as well!
